We're super passionate about this movement and so happy that you've taken an awesome step towards increasing and deepening your yoga practice. We want to make yoga easy & accessible for everyone, so that's what we're here to do.

the birth of yoga52

yoga52 was conceived in December of 2015 when Char wanted to start practicing yoga more regularly at home (on her own without the help of YouTube!), but didn't know where to start. Being guided by a teacher in a class is one thing, but then to try and take that home to apply it is a whole other story! There are so many different yoga poses and it felt a little intimidating to pick some and piece them together into your own flow sequence. 

But what about starting with one, focusing on it for a set amount of days, and building from there?

That seemed a lot less intimidating and manageable.

But Char couldn't do it alone because, although a yoga enthusiast, her sister-in-law, Carly, was a real yoga-certified teacher (plus, they really like each other and have always wanted to work together).

So they paired up to design weekly guided yoga poses for a whole year (52 weeks in a year; hence the name yoga52!) to help others out in their yoga practice...and OK, selfishly did it a bit for themselves, as well ;).

A week felt like a good length of time to get a better understanding of a pose, especially with daily practice, plus, it felt like a good and simplistic way to track (new week = new pose).
